5 Amazing places NO ONE will tell you to visit in Madrid

Alexander Benitez

Madrid, the capital of Spain. House of 46 million inhabitants whose antecessors live back to the VI century. Spain, a magical country with 1,500 years of history, culture and so many things to discover about the people and locations it sustains.

Here you'll find ONE, TWO or maybe even THREE secret turistic location you will very unlikely hear about.

1. Azotea del Circulo

A secret rooftop, with a not so secret access. Not everything secret involves mischievous activity. This rooftop can host fancy dinners, food and private events while at the same time it guarantees you with an amazing and unique view of every key spot of the CITY. From the 24/7 shining lights of "Callao" and "Gran Vía", to the sculptures found on a few building roofs, as well as a big iluminated clock counting the city's minutes. If you are really planning on going to MADRID, click here to learn more about the "Azotea del Circulo"

2. Flores de Alcachofa

Simply amazingly TASTY!

The alcachofa/artichoke is a very typical Spanish dish, if you have tried it elsewhere and didn't like it very much, TRY IT AGAIN, you can as well try many other dishes like seafood and a very CLASSY cut of meat. I don't know if it's because of the hospitality the waiters offer, but there is certainly something that makes all the food taste better in this restaurant.

3. Centro Cultural Flamenco de Madrid

The best flamenco of the WORLD in Spain. This is very surely one of the only places in the world in which you will very truely and deeply experience the Spanish FLAMENCO culture. This brief show will only take ONE hour of your time, but will surely take a special place in your heart. To buy tickets now, click here.

4. Bocadillos Oink

Oink Snacks. Bread, Iberian Ham and nothing else... unless you ask fot it. Most likely scenario: you won't eat less than TWO. From Iberian ham to Iberian loin, sausage, manchego cheese snack, empanadas and an "Oink breakfast" for when you feel like craving a WARM toasted sandwich and some coffee.

5. El Escorial

As a recent visitor of the destination I assure you that this place is as big as it seems in pictures. Once you arrive to the train station DON'T walk all the way to the monastery, unless you want a hiking experience and sore legs by the end of the day. Wait for the bus or a take a taxi.

From Madrid to the "Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial" in 38 minutes in train, 6,05 Euros per person. THIRTEEN train departures per day at very accessible hours from the train station "Chamartin" arriving to "Escorial". It counts with a free entry after 4pm (from april to september only), but the general ticket goes from 6 Euros to 12 Euros.

Honorable Mention: for your visit to the Escorial.

"Tan Ricamente". A small coffee house bar with amazing HOMEMADE typical spanish food made by a very cute lady with MAGICAL loving hands. End your trip with the happiest loving meal you will get.

These were 5 locations that people will unlikely reccomend you, not because they are bad, no no, they're not that famous yet.
