Christmas vibes are starting to feel in the air, and christmas hollidays are on their way.


A few days before Christmas begins, and it is a good time to prepare a trip and enjoy the Christmas vibes in some of the best cities for lovers of this time of year.


With the lighting of the lights these cities are transformed. The windows of the stores end up hypnotizing you, and the streets and shops look spectacular with their Christmas decoration, and it all makes you feel in a Christmas fairytale.

1. NEW YORK, USA


New York at Christmas is magical and one of the best cities to travel at Christmas. There are many Christmas activities from the end of November until the beginning of January, where the department stores mount spectacular showcases such as the Macy's, Bloomingdale’s, Henri Bendel, Barney’s, Bergdorf Goodman, Macy’s or the luxurious Tiffany’s.

The lighting of the Christmas tree next to the ice rink of the Rockfeller Center is also one of the most important places and moments of New York at Christmas and one of those moments that we cannot miss.



Nor can we stop seeing the Christmas decorations filled of lights on the houses in Brooklyn, or the Christmas markets, another of the city's traditions, among which are Bryant Park and Union Square.




2. STRASBOURG, FRANCE


Strasbourg is considered the Christmas capital, along with all the fairytale villages in the Alsace area. This one of the places you can not miss at this time of year. It has the oldest and largest Christmas market in Europe. It has up to 11 different markets spread over some of the most beautiful squares and areas of the city. Most markets are open from November 25 to December 31.

3. VIENNA, AUSTRIA


Vienna does not have a Christmas market to visit. Vienna IS indeed a Christmas market itself. At this time of the year, the city is filled with wooden huts to get lost among crafts and many christmas decorations. Christmas lights reaches every corner of the Austrian capital and, following the lights, you will reach the Schonbrunn Palace, the Town Hall, the Spittelberg district and the Karlsplatz area.


You can walk in these amazing, illuminated city, listen to groups of people singing Christmas carols at each corner and enjoy a delightful wine.




4. BERLIN, GERMANY


Berlin at Christmas dresses up with bright lights and amazing Christmas markets that are mounted between November 21 and January 1. With more than 50 markets throughout the city, full of lights and Christmas decorations, Berlin becomes an ideal place for lovers of these holidays.


The Christmas Market of Gendarmenmarkt is one of the most beautiful where we can find handicraft products and even live plays. Nor can we miss Spandau, the largest in the city or the Wintertraum am Alexa, Berlin's most modern market with roller coasters and a ferris wheel. In addition, we cannot leave the city without skating on the ice rink of the Berliner Weihnachtszeit at Roten Rathaus.



5. LONDON, UK


London is another of the perfect destinations to travel at Christmas break. Starting with the lighting of the tree in Trafalgar Square, the lighting of shopping streets such as Oxford Street, Regent Street or the Covent Garden area, and the windows of department stores such as Harrods or Liberty.


The Christmas atmosphere begins at the beginning of November until January 5, so we have a large period to enjoy these hollidays in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world.

Nor can you miss the German-style Christmas market on the south bank of the Thames, or the Canary Wharf in Montgomery Square, and enjoy the attractions of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.
